Hi, it's me Brehndan. Today we drove to the Grand Canyon. We walked on a tar path that went along the south rim. We hiked on one of the trails that leads to the bottom of the Canyon. It was very steep. Some people rode down on donkeys. When the lead donkey stops, the donkeys are trained to turn toward the canyon. It is a very tight path. We had a lot of fun. The Colorado river was named by Mexicans. The name Colorado means red river in Spanish. The Colorado river goes down in elevation 13 times more than the Mississippi river. We are on the way home.
Hi, it's me Brittney. Today we drove to the Grand Canyon. When we got there, we got to look at the most wonderful site that we have ever seen. It was beautiful! You could see purple, blue, green, grey, and little spots of black, red and orange. It was so beautiful that I didn't pay attention to where I was walking, because I was looking. We had a picnic lunch and then we went on a hike down the side of the canyon. I started feeling dizzy because of how far the drop was that we had to walk. We walked back up the trail and we got into the car and started to dive home. We are on our way!!!

Hi, it's me Brehndan. Today, my dad asked me and Brittney to go get ice in the cooler. When we were draining the water in some rocks, a scorpion climbed out from under the rock. It was an Arizona Bark Scorpion. We took a picture of it. It then climbed back under the rock. When my grandpa came later, we told him about it. He picked up the rock it was under and the scorpion was still there.
Hi, it's me Brittney. We went to Rawhide, an old time make believe cowboy town. We saw a gun slinging show that was awesome! On our way out of the gun show, I got to feel how heavy the gun was. We saw a wanted poster of Cole Younger who is a distant relative of my mom's side of the family. We walked around the town and I rode on a burro, which is a small donkey. I also got to go into a Mercantile and buy some old fashioned candy and look in the General store. They had a steak house that served rattlesnake as an appetizer. We did not try it.

Hi, it's Brittney again. Day 4 we drove from Albuquerque, NM to Phoenix, Arizona. On the way there we drove into a sand storm on I40. This is as scary as a blizzard. You can not see anything and the winds are so strong they feel like they can blow your car over. The weather was so bad, they closed the freeway. We had to take an alternative route. We got lucky, this was beautiful. It went through the mountains and on a gravel road for 8 miles through a national forest. We met our grandparents in Sedona, Arizona for lunch. They have been in Arizona since January in their camper. We were going to spend the night here, but it was too cold and windy, so we drove down to the dessert. We checked into our hotel a day early. The hotel is great, it has more than 10 pools and a huge water slide that goes through the mountain. It also has hiking trails that leave right from the resort. We have hiked almost everyday. We have to look out for rattlesnakes on the trail. We have not seen any, only a lizard. The cacti here are really cool! There are so many different kinds of them and they are everywhere! Yesterday we went to Chase Field Stadium for the opening day. The Phoenix Diamond Backs played the Colorado Rockies. The Phoenix Diamond Backs won 9-8. My parents were disappointed that the did not leave the retractable roof open.
Hi! It's Brehndan. I will give you the answers to your questions. The weather is awesome so far! It has been between 80-90 Degrees here everyday. Now, we are in Phoenix, Arizona. We went to the opening day of baseball at Chase Field. The Diamond Backs won 9-8. Each team had at least 7 home runs. It was fun to watch. We took the train, like the one they run in Mpls to the game. We are going to another baseball game in Denver on Sunday.

Hi, its Brittney again. The 3rd day of are trip we went through Colorado and New Mexico. When we went through Colorado it was really cool because we got to drive through mountains and see all the pretty views, but there was one bad thing too, when we were driving through the mountains the elevation changed dramatically and are ears were popping like crazy. We drove through mountains for about 4 or 5 hours from Walsenburg, Co to Santa Fe, NM. We got to drive by the Rio Grande, it was awesome! When we got through most of the mountains, we were in parts of New Mexico that were poor, and if the mountains weren't in the background... well I don't even want to talk about it. When we got to Albuquerque, New Mexico it was actually a nice town so we stayed there for the night. That's all for now, see ya!!!
Hi, it's Brehndan. When we were in Minneapolis the elevation was 830 '. In Dodge City, Kansas the elevation was 2512'. In Walsenburg, Co the elevation was 6950'. We went through the North Le Veta pass and the elevation was 9415'. San Luis , Co the elevation was 7929'. Taos, New Mexico, the elavation was 6987'. When we went through Santa Fe and Albuquerque, NM we were too busy looking at the area that we forgot to get the elevation reading. There was mountains all around us.

Hi, its Brittney again. Yesterday, we went to Iowa. In Iowa we saw many open farm fields and many windmills. When we went by the farm lands most of them were cow farms and it smelled horrid. Then we went into Kansas, and we stopped and stayed the night in a little town called Dodge City Kansas. Then we ate dinner (weird fact: Kansas is the steak country) and then we went to are hotel and went to bed... ha shoo ha shoo(ha shoo= snoring). Guess what? The wierdest thing happened that night... it SNOWED IN KANSAS... wow were we surprised and disappointed, about an inch of SNOW. We had and we had to get to a warmer place and quick. That's all for now bye!!!
It's me Brehndan, We drove through Minneapolis in Minnesota and we drove through Minneapolis in what other state?
Day 2 we drove for 12 hours through Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska and ended in Dodge City, Kansas. The total amount of miles was close to 800. There was snow in Kansas. We later found out that they were hit with the same storm that came through Crosby on Tuesday.
Hi everyone! This is Brittney. Sorry we haven't sent you anything yet, but here is a picture of our family at the Wild hockey game on March 31. We had seats on the glass and I was on TV a little bit, we got an official practice puck, and an official game puck gave to us from the ref. We actually got free pop and some foods cause we were on the glass. I miss all my friends. Bye!!!
Hi everyone we went to the wild game 2 nights ago. Well, our seats were right on the glass and there was a camera hole. So, I decided to open it up and take pictures of the game. But, then a man that workes there came down and told me I couldn'd do it so I stopped. We also got a game puck and a practice puck. We had fun at the wild game. The score was 1-2 we lost. Brehndan
